The 4th European SCADA & Process Control Summit 2011 – Rome, Italy

The top US official responsible for deployment of the $4 billion national smart grid program is coming to Rome to share lessons learned at the halfway point. The Summit will bring together program managers, control systems engineers, IT security professionals, government policy makers, and critical infrastructure protection specialists from asset owning and operating organizations along with control systems and security vendors who have innovative solutions for improving security.

In addition Italy’s Global Cyber Security Center (GCSEC) an international not-for-profit organization created to advance cyber security in Italy, the region and around the world is co-hosting the 4th Annual Summit to address current issues that threaten Supervisory Control and DATA Acquisition System Security and the emerging technologies that provide the best defense.

Prior to the Summit the SCADA Security Advanced Training skill based course will be offered 26 November – 30 November. This 5-day course combines advanced topics from SCADA and IT Security into the first hands-on Ethical Hacking course for Industrial Control Systems. Both SCADA Administrators and IT Security Professionals will widen their knowledge through hands-on exercises with live SCADA systems and equipment.
